To keep the same friends as the years go by? As we grow up, and our priorities change, so do our friendships. It seems the older we get, the harder it is to make real friends. But, there’s hope! Old friends come back, and new friends show up.

You just never know who you’re going to meet in this journey called life. That sounded a little cheesy, but it’s true.

So, before you throw in the towel, remember to stay open-minded. There are plenty of opportunities to make new friends or reconnect with old ones. You just have to be willing to put yourself out there and see where it goes. Don’t get too discouraged by rejections, because there’s always someone else. A wise person once said, “focus on the other”. It’s hard, but you can choose to see rejection as redirection.

Take a hard swerve right.

Because if someone doesn’t accept you or respect you, it’s just not meant to be. I had to learn that the hard way. I am currently working at an awesome store, where I feel like I can make real friends. So, you never know where life is going to take you. The last place I thought I’d be making friends is at a retail job, but I am. So, in all this madness, it’s nice to know that there are always new connections ahead. Whether it’s online or in person, I find that I am reaching out to people more than ever before.
